Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information RunOrFit collects, why, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. RunOrFit, at Viale Croce Rossa 25, 90144 Palermo, Italy, is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We also handle Australian customers' information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Contact and delivery details — name, email, phone, shipping and billing address.
Order details — what you bought, order value, order history, returns and refunds.
Payment information — processed by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you reached the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Messages you send us — the content of your emails and support requests, including any sizing details you share so we can advise you.

Why we use it

To take payment, fulfil your order, arrange delivery and handle returns (performance of our contract with you).
To answer your questions and provide support.
To detect and prevent fraud and to keep the store secure.
To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
To send marketing emails and show you advertising — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf.
Payment providers, which process your payment and run fraud checks.
Our fulfilment supplier and its carriers, located in China, which receive your name, delivery address and phone number in order to pack and ship your order. This is a genuine transfer of your personal information outside Australia and outside the European Economic Area, and we tell you about it plainly because you are entitled to know.
Advertising and analytics providers, such as Meta and Google, where you have consented to those cookies.
Authorities or advisers, where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Your information may be stored or processed outside the country you live in, including in the European Economic Area, the United States and China. Where information leaves the EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 10 years in Italy). Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Support correspondence is kept for up to 3 years.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@runorfit.com. We respond within 30 days. Exercising these rights costs you nothing and we will never treat you differently for doing so.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work, plus analytics and advertising cookies where you consent. You can manage your choices through the cookie banner and through your browser settings.

Children

This store is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

We use encrypted connections and rely on established providers to process payments and host data. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending confidential information to us by email.

You also have the right to complain to a regulator: in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au); in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
